Aastha suggested that I have an invite only period for my gallery, people from the industry. Designers, graphic designers, artists, art/design connoisseurs , ad people – you get the picture! Maybe for 2 – 3 days?.
Then I’ll go on to have open days; where anybody can come.
This solves 2 problems –
My portfoilio will be exhibited and after the 3 days are over my work will be sold (I don’t want it to be like I opened my portfolio file and put it up on the walls!).
Also, I have to develop my identity!

The Exhibit will be called The Design Wish list ( thanks Karthik!).
I hope to create an interest for Designer_Ware. Everything from posters, tshirts, decals etc will be for sale/exhibit. I will try to induce a tailored-for-you feel to the visitor. This is purely for self promotion.
I want this to be a success (duh), im not a very systematic or responsible person; so this will be a test for me, to see it get done.
I will be contacting known people who do production and request their help, Smitha also spoke about sponsors (like paper companies or printers).
To create a personal feel i will install a video camera pointed at the entrance of the gallery, it will take the live feed of peoples faces and transpose it on a Motion gfx video projected on a wall. (this is to make the visitor be a part of the gallery).
I am aiming at the age group of 13 to 30. The look and feel of the gallery will be catered to them.
I will either scour the land for broken manequins or make them with cardboard !
Posters, invites and handouts will be distributed to various loacations like Koshy’s, Barista, Java City etc.
Invites will be sent to select professionals too.

Create a Gallery+design shoppe aimed at teenagers to young adults.
T-shirts, Posters, Wall decals etc.
To also create an interactive-personal feel for the visitor (involving video).
Create hype/viral marketing for the gallery. Involving posters, invites, ads etc.
Self Promotion is the main aim. The gallery will be self sustaining in terms of finance.
Demystifying Graphic Design –
Either create a information graphic poster or Create a motion graphic video, to quell rumors and myths about Graphic Design.
There will definitely be research on this. This MAY be a collab work with Karthik (if Video). still deciding!.

- Host a Design Gallery on popular culture (news, music, art etc); and market it with collaterals, posters, handouts , marketing hoo ha!
- Demystifying Graphic Design (motion graphics video) .
